Open rates start out at 21.4% at 8 am and rise to a high of 34.1% at 5 pm Click-through rates begin at 2.6% at 8 am and rise to a high of 6.4% at 4 pm, before falling to 5.2% at 5 pm.

No need to find an iPad 3G, there are great solutions to get online with out isolating everything to just one device. A Jailbroken iPhone and other mobile devices can become a WiFi hotspot which would get you iPad online.

The Returns of the VC E-mail

I spoke with Clearstone Venture's William Quigley, he talked about the significant returns created by the robust exit markets of the late 1990s and how it carried the industry for a long period of time. The new reality is much more somber for many venture firms. There are still healthy returns to be made in venture capital, but until the venture community sees a more vibrant exit market we do not expect marked improvement overall.
