Local advertising will grow at a CAGR of 13% from 2007 to 2012, faster than will online advertising as a whole (which will grow 12%). Display and search advertising are leading the way, with CAGRs of 18% and 16%, respectively, during the next 5 years. Online local classified advertising, will grow at a CAGR of 10%.

Tracking Everything E-mail
With so many special interest groups concerned with new tracking technology, its hard to weigh the benefits of privacy verses connivence. Large cities have incorporated cameras on street corners constantly watching the pubic, GPS coming standard in mobile phones and RFID in products we buy. Are we being watch and tracked too much? What are the overall benefits to this Orwellian world thats being created?
